I’m still new to WordPress, getting used to the features. *edit: please click on “Hello” to see the full post! Admittedly, to a complete WP beginner, it’s taking some time to navigate the site.
If you followed me here from ts-nightingale.tumblr.com, like…congratulations! you found me. Clearly, I can’t hide from you, dear investigator. Not that I was running away…or maybe I was XD. Haha. On this note, you’re like…really smart to have figured this out!
It’s been a whirlwind of a week trying to solve the starter’s guide to website development and this isn’t even my day job! LIKE MAJOR LOL! I felt so much pressure to solve all these things that I wasn’t used to or interested in figuring out so I enlisted the help of locals for some of this (still unpaid, but I made a deal to exchange like-for-like knowledge) – it’s hard. Imagine how much time I spent at night trying to link my customized domain to my WordPress…at my preferred WordPress address! All those DNS checks later.. you can reach me at ts-nightingale.com! : D
So why make the move?! *Much needed explanation*
Tumblr…terminated my account. This is after 10 years of blogging on this platform. Apparently I violated some terms, but my tumblr was unpaid and I was posting for free. So I wasn’t spamming nor was I engaging in affiliate marketing or deceptively generating traffic/revenues.
But, alas…Tumblr kicked me out.
Mon/Tues this week was hard. But by Wed, I came around because I realized this was the favor I needed. I’m starting fresh as TS Nightingale, version 2.0 via this website. I’ll probably continue the weekly Fri/Sat fun link format, but I’d like flex on what I want to do here. Design is very much under construction (if I can figure out how to do this)
…though I probably won’t stray too much from the original minimal layout (or maybe I will idk yet).
As much as I heart my followers, while I never started this with the intention of gaining a following, it’s lovely to know that you find this hopefully entertaining.
Here is to an exciting fresh new start at ts-nightingale.com – my corner of the internet where I can be as random as I want to be. lol.
